Interpreting and translations
We will help you communicate with our school. If you’d like an interpreter for a school meeting, let us know and we will arrange one, if available.
If you don’t speak or understand English well and want to contact us, call TIS National on 131 450 and ask for an interpreter in your language. The operator will call the school and get an interpreter to help. This service is free.
For more information, listen in your language.
Visit the department’s translated documents section for important information that’s relevant for your child’s education in many languages.
Message from the P&C
The P&C is very busy organising various fundraising activities, attending our monthly meetings and meeting with various people to discuss issues affecting the school and its operation.
With regard to fundraising, the P & C holds many successful fundraising activities throughout the year. We hold our usual Mother's and Father's Day stalls that the students always enjoy as well as an Easter Guessing Competition, End of Year Raffle, Disco and numerous BBQ's/sausage sizzles. We are pleased to have additional help from some more of our parents enabling us to provide Halal food at the BBQ's and thus better reflecting the culture of our school.
We hope parents and students will enjoy the new covered seating areas near the stage. These were well timed for the Performance Day and Presentation Day dates at the end of 2015.
This year our fundraising efforts will be to continue the "Raise the Roof" campaign to gain enough funding to provide walkways to the newer demountable classrooms.
The P & C run the uniform shop from the HUB. The uniform shop opening times are advertised on the door.
The P & C are very active within the school and all parents are welcome to join.
On a final note, our thanks go to the hard working staff, parents, students, volunteers and families that make up Mt.Druitt Public School. Without your continued support, the P & C would not operate the way it does today.
Mrs. Nicole Collisson
President of the P&C committee
